We are pleased to introduce Tarneit YMCA Early Learning Centre’s Early Years Director: Sharan Kaur.
How long have you been working in early learning education?
I have been working in Early Learning Education for 10 years.
Why are you passionate about Early Learning?
I am passionate to play a role in nurturing children in their first five years of life, by mentoring a team of Early Learning Educators to create programming that supports child led exploration through play-based activities.
I believe all children are capable and active learners, who thrive best in a safe environment for children to grow into their full potential.
What will you bring to your role at our Early Learning Centre?
A core focus on positive relationships with the children and engaging with their families, creating strong partnerships with the wider Tarneit community, and mentoring our team alongside Jaz, our Centre Manager.
Can you describe why you find Early Learning Education fulfilling?
To support and nurturing children while they are growing and learning; giving each child individual time to both develop and master skills at all ages.
What are you most excited about starting this role?
Building upon my past experiences in Early Learning Education to implement and maintain high quality programming and practices.
What do you enjoy doing most on the weekends?
I enjoy spending quality time with my family.

Collaborative partnerships with families through inclusion in activities and learning experiences that are reflective of their culture and interests.
